I could easily go on and on about this site. There is so much to do and see and read about at this site. I do want to mention that at this site you can send a multilingual musical postcard to any of your friends as long as they have an email address. Folks, they have 23 languages available. That is a lot of different languages! Be sure to click some of links they have available at this web site after you have had a good look around. They have packed tons of information into this site.
The second site is ArtiFAQ 2100 located at http://library.advanced.org/13681/data/n... This was designed to give some perception to how art will influence lives for the next 100 years. By probing into the past they have been able to make some pretty neat predictions. Be sure to go the intro page and read it through. The students and teacher names are posted here along with grade levels. At the bottom of the page be sure to listen to some of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. The students have included Cave Art, Classic, Modern, Pointillism, Pop Culture and Present to form their opinions here at this site and come up with some interesting predictions of art. The information contained in these pages was very enlightening. I learned things here that I did not know. I love a site like this. The Cave Art page was interesting. I found out why the cave men made their drawings on thier walls. I also learned that the tomb of Tutankamun was found in 1924. There is other interesting info about this tomb that I didn't know but I will leave that for you to find. :)(I simply don't want to give away the interesting information here.) When you click on the Classic page and the page opens you will need to use your mouse to pull back "the drapes". You will see little arrows pointing which way to pull. I thought this was really cool and imaginative. Once you have pulled back the screens the information for the site will appear. Then follow the links to get to the next section. Have you ever wondered why Vincent Van Gogh cut off his ear? The answer is here along with a little explanation of his work. The Pop Culture page is really interesting too. It gives little tidbits about some of the most famous Pop Culture Artists and a samples of their work. Be sure to check out the Cows On Parade page.
