That's MaMaMedia not MaMaMia - One Mom & One Daughter's Opinion

If you have kids and you have cable TV then you have probably watched Nickelodeon at one time or another. We have been hearing an advertisement on Nick and Nick Jr. for a web site for kids and we wanted to check it out. I usually prefer to check out a web site for my kids before they access it. This way I know if it is appropiate for their age groups and if there is anything that I think they should not be seeing. I do have to admit that I do not regularly sit down and watch a lot of Nickelodeon but I do keep a very close eye on what my kids are watching. I always keep my ears tuned into whatever they are watching on TV no matter what station it is.

I thought the name of this web site was MamaMia.com so I thought I would see what it was like. I use AOL for my internet server so I typed in Mamamia.com to my browser and hit go. The first thing I saw when this site came up was a message on the home page that says "This site has nothing to do with Nickelodeon. We are not advertising on Nickelodeon." Hmmmm...ok maybe this is not the right site. As the home page finishes coming up I look a little further. There is another message in a green box that says something to the effect that they have contacted the site with the problem and have not had a response.

I mentioned this to my daughter and she told me she thought it was MaMaMedia.com. OOO, OK Mom's a little slow, it's the age and number of kids. I told her I would see if I could find it. She found it first. She spent almost three hours playing on this site. She even got her 3 year old brother to sit down and play too. I was amazed! They usually don't spend that much time doing anything much less playing on a website. She told me it was so much fun she just lost track of time. The 3 year old has been bugging her to play some more.

I thought it was time that I found out myself how good MaMaMedia.com is. OK, the girl is right. They have a ton of stuff to do and it's just for kids. The home page gives several selections and then each selection has lots of subsections or games.
