Insertion #4 Bookmark Pattern

© Paulette Dal Porto

This is a very simple bookmark pattern which can be done up really fast. I would suggest adding a silk ribbon tassel at the bottom of the bookmark for added elegance. I made this bookmark from an edging pattern found in Tatting Patterns by Julia E. Sanders. This pattern was done in Manuela Size 10, with a hand dyed silk ribbon tassel, in needle tatting.

Ring - 4 ds, 7 p with 3 ds between, 4 ds, close ring Chain - 7 ds Ring - 4 ds, 7 p with 3 ds between, 4 ds, close ring Chain - 7 ds, reverse Ring - 4 ds, join 4th p of first ring, 6 p with 3 ds between, 4 ds

Repeat from * for however long you want the book mark to be. For Last ring 4 ds, join 4th p of first ring, 4 ds join to 2nd p of opposite ring, 3 ds, p, 4 ds, close ring. Hide ends Add silk ribbon tassel to end of bookmark.
