One of the new website updates that is just awe inspiring is Minako Tanaka's Tat and taT site at http://www.edit.ne.jp/~minako/tatting/e/... . She has some really beautiful pictures of her own work, and recently has put us some of her own patterns for us to try. The Rose Edging pattern is just beautiful and would look great on a sweater edge.
The Tatmeister's Tatting Pages have also been updated. This is a wonderful site for an true insight to the history of tatting, and to find information on the Lace Museum. It is located at http://www.tribbler.com/tatman/. Also on this website you can find information about some wonderful mylar picot guages which Dan Rusch-Fischer makes. This can be found at http://www.tribbler.com/tatman/misc_info... Maus have moved her website to pinkpig.com, and the address is here: http://pages.pinkpig.com/maus . She has a new Easter Basket pattern by Christi Rose up. It is adorable, and tatted with beads. Christi recommends using it for an ornament or as an accent for a greeting card. There are other ornaments on this site, and great patterns too. Lynn Hutchins has some beautiful pictures of handkerchiefs on her website at http://www.art-hutchins.com/tatting.htm . You will have to email if you wish more information on the patterns. Remember you can buy handkerchiefs from HandyBlanks to tat around. A very informative website with tons of links for tatting, designing, and tatting with beads is Tatn' Texee's Ranch at http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ranch... . If you are a beginning tatter, this would be a great first site to surf to. She has information on the various tools for tatting, how to start, how to do split rings, the josephine knot, where to get supplies. A virtual one stop shop for a tatter. For some great inspiration, go to Sieglinde's pastime to view her tatting page. Some wonderful pictures of tatted bags, doilys, motifs, flowers and stars. If you're having a dry spell, as we all do from time to time, just look at her site to get your fingers flying. You can find it at http://www.bla2.de/home/uebersicht_eng.h... . The only thing that puzzles me is the picture of the tarantula on her home page. That's one big spider! And Jane Eborall submitted her site with one of the most detailed tatted three dimensional dinasaur with directions. I don't think I have ever seen such an ambitious project. I am definitely going to be making this for my daughter. Check it out at http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb... . Go To Page: 1 2
