Camellias Flourish in the Spring Garden

I awoke next morning to hear voices coming from the kitchen. A friendly nursery lady had taken me up when I had rashly said to her, "Come down and see where all these plants are disappearing to!" I dragged on my dressing gown and informed her I couldn't bear to go out into the garden to count the dead bodies. But I did. Kees had placed the orchard hoses all over the garden and had turned the taps full on. Water splashed everywhere. And already the picture looked better. As we walked around, dodging the water sprays and tut-tutting, I picked off the burnt leaves. We only lost one very special ornamental Maple.

Now, the shrubs and trees have matured and they protect one another. The fast growing trees we planted on the outside borders of the garden keep damaging winds away. I am so glad I didn't throw the towel in and cease our great adventure.

What is the most exciting thing you have planted?

What is the most thrilling landscape effect in your garden?

What two plants are growing together and please you the most?

And did you do it or did Nature take a hand in that lovely experiment?

I have many photos to show you. Please have a lot of patience while down loading
