This is my one hundredth article and it a very sad time for me. I have made a very hard decision to say farewell, adieu, tot ziens and auf Wiedersehen. For six years I have thoroughly enjoyed your company as you have walked the garden paths with Kees and me, the two wrinkly gardeners. By giving me your delightful friendship over this time, you have demonstrated one of the finest features of Internet; it is of no consequence what nationality, what gender, what colour of skin and, the most gratifying to me, what age we all are, we have been able to share our thoughts, our knowledge and indeed our loves. There have been babies born, difficult personal events, very sad happenings and hard battles to fight and, though this is a gardening site, we have somehow been able to lighten the burdens by sharing our thoughts, our sadness, our anger, our happiness and quite often, our laughter. I thank the Suite101 for a great six years. When I started, I was absolutely ignorant of how to write any HTML script, how to upload, how to present photographs. With great patience, I was shown the way and I thank the co-editors who were so patient with me. And they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks! I sincerely believed in the ideals of the Suite, the sharing of knowledge and the communication between people from all over the world with similar ideals. I wish the Suite good fortune and success in the future. On a more personal note, I must itemise the kindness and help I have received in Kees's and my fight against the environmental atrocities taking place in the forestry coupe, next door to our country garden. You know who you are and I wish to express my gratitude to you, you have given me strength to keep fighting. Thank you. I WILL still be visiting here [I have my University course to keep and eye on!] and so, I think I am able to write, dear friends, it is only au revoir! Please keep in touch!
