Tassie ABCs - L-words

L is for - Liffey and Liffey Falls.

Liffey is a delightful area that lies between Devonport and Launceston. The Liffey River, plenty of wooded hills, farmlands and the waterfalls themselves make it a fine place for picnics and leisurely walks. To see the falls, go to http://richard.stanaway.net/water.htm and scroll down to the fourth image.

L is for - Lilydale.

Lilydale is probably best known for the lavender farm nearby. It's a town not far from Launceston, and was originally known as German Town.

Phew! Lots of Ls, aren't there? More next time.
