Afternoon in Devonport.

I bought the rat-bedding, wondered briefly if our little dog, Bic, would like a dried pig's ear, decided against it and went to catch up with Tig who had vanished into a shop called Mystique. The window was hung with gorgeous silks and velvets, and there was a tempting rail of "specials" hung outside. I entered the shop and looked around. No Tig. I checked behind rails of medieval-looking gowns and cloaks. No Tig. Finally, I glanced at the changingrooms. The doors don't quite reach the ground and peeping underneath I saw a pair of familiar platform soles. "Is that you in there?" I enquired. "Do I recognise those shoes?" Tig opened the changeroom curtain and swished out in a clingy dress in blue and white. "I'm wearing *that*!" she decided. Pause, while Tig bought the dress (she'd just been paid) then we set off again. Halfway through the arcade s a chocolate shop where you can buy single chocolates. Despite our lunch, we chose some and taste-tested "Christmas pudding" and "Coffee cream". Next, we went to a discount shop called Chickenfeed and looked for picture frames. I persuaded Tig into The Devonport Bookshop. At that point, we noticed the time and realised we ought to be heading home. The mall was still packed with people, music poured from Sanity, the CD shop. There seemed plenty of goodwill left over from New Year as we wended our way back towards the car where Tig's brother had arranged to meet us. So ended our shopping expedition in Devonport. Not thrilling, but it was fun! See you next week! Oh, and if you'd like to read a bit more about Devonport and its attractions check out this link; http://www.cruise-devonport.com/
