We need to remain balanced as we fight terrorism. We have a tendency to go overboard. Healing will take place, and we can make it even more effective by remaining calm as we move towards the solutions.

Unity through effort strengthens the entire free world. We must guard against emotion overcoming intellect. There needs to be a balance in our efforts.

Actually using art and creativity will be a weapon that can win the war. The enemy uses deceit and terror; we need to project a loving image to the world. "You catch more flies with honey." The Taliban has impoverished the countryside. It is possible, that nurtured and rebuilt, the people of Afghanistan, will willingly help to repell the extremists. The same might be said of the other countries that currently harbor terrorists, although the actions and images required for each country may be different. I am not saying to support extremists or those who harbor terrorists, but to help the people of those countries. Afghanistan itself is nearly already destroyed by decades of war. Countries with strong middle classes tend to cling to the status quo, rejecting extremists of all types.

We need time and healing. We are getting a good perspective, but need to remember to listen to all the sides of the story. We see the hurt and damage, and our escapism might cause us to withdraw from it all. We need to remember as members
