Behind the Scenes: My Short Life as a 900 Psychic

For about a year I was employed by one very busy psychic line and one new, slowly building psychic line. I enjoyed it and learned a great deal from it. The hours were perfect (whenever I wanted). It sounds great but it wasn't. Although clients pay outrageous rates per minute, the psychics only make .25 or less per minute. The rest of the money goes to owners/managers & a great deal is put into advertising as I understand it. The extreme high cost seemed unfair to me, especially since the psychics themselves are the ones catching the worst of it and making the least. It is also demanded that a certain call average be kept by psychics working on the line. Not an easy thing since clients, understandably, want to get answers as quickly as possible when they're paying so much. The three minute free calls that are advertised hurt your average. This doubtless encourages some psychics on the line to simply try to draw calls out. This is really unfair to both callers and workers. The callers because they are being taken advantage of and he workers because they are not encouraged to read concisely and succinctly. Your call average is also hurt if you refuse calls or end them if they are inappropriate. There is no in this policy for children who call, people who call wanting phone sex or people who are otherwise abusive. I wouldn't talk to any of the above and did manage to keep a good average. Still, I felt like it wasn't a good situation. I called other on-line psychics before I started to get a feel for what they were doing. In spite of the negative hype phone psychics get there, I found there are some great ones out there. I talked to 3. Two were very good. One reader even told me the last 4 digit of my SSN, my birthday and my boyfriend's birthday . Of course, I listed to everything else she said very closely. The line did help me find a method of reading that works really well for me. Doing so many spreads for people who wanted results fast also increased my accuracy and speed. I developed my own spread and began to completely identify with the cards. Sometimes I surprised not only the clients but myself with information. I think the most important thing all of this did was build my confidence in my intuition. All of these things have been invaluable.
