Disaster Struck on Such a Night
Courtesy Sting.com. Back in Tuscany the show did go on, whether it was because the band, the audience, his own inner voice, or his manager had convinced him. According to the online review, Sting’s performance was emotional, one that made the audience wonder if he had the inner fortitude to finish the show as planned. Reading this account, I was reminded of a comment Trudie Styler had made about Sting and why she continued to love him, even during the worst of times. She said it had to do with his sense of humanity, his genuine concern for humankind, his ability to empathize and focus on the very best in all of us.
