Please return to this page after April 13, when I'll have an exclusive report on the Carnegie Hall charity event by one lucky attendee.

"Michele P." told me about her experience meeting Sting and Trudie at the post-concert dinner and auction, where prizes such as a sing-along with Sting and a yoga session with supermodel Christy Turlington were sold to the highest bidder.

"Some guy bid $150,000 [to obtain the sing-along] for his daughter," Michele told Suite 101. Once the bidding reached $100,000, "Sting stood on top of the table, whipped off his jacket, and started dancing in his T-shirt. All the women were screaming, including me!"

Michele had accidentally collided with Sting in the crowded room, trying to identify a singer who sounded a lot like Billy Joel. As a result, Michele not only got to say hello to Sting, but to his gracious wife Trudie as well.

But Michele's most memorable moment that fateful night was when she approached Sting to say a few words about how he inspires her. "I didn't really care for Soul Cages when it first came out," she boldly told him. "But after I lost my dad to cancer last year, I listened to it with a whole new perspective."

Sting, who lost both his parents to cancer, tipped his glass to hers and solemnly toasted, "Let's drink to our parents."
