Although it is an article that focuses mainly on Mother's Day, The Not-So-Evil Stepmother includes information that is helpful any time. For example, there is a lot of emphasis on the importance of communication. Instead of waiting to see what happens, tell your husband in advance if something like Mother's Day means a lot to you, and he can arrange something with the children.
As mentioned in Part One and Part Two, don't forget about the support that is available through the Stepmothers' online message boards. One that I haven't mentioned before is Stepmoms Support. This is a women's group that discusses the ups and downs of being a stepmother. Joining is required, but it's free.
