Written by Susan Crites Price and Tom Price, the article discusses in detail the different approach society takes to working fathers and mothers, and offers some good ideas for fathers to manage their dual roles. Among other suggestions, they say that fathers can form a group at the office and discuss at lunch some changes they would like to see in the work place (such as flexible hours). The authors point out that some of the modifications that are chosen would also interest mothers at the same company, or employees who have sick or elderly parents at home. The importance of working parents taking some time for themselves is discussed in Personal Time for Parents is a Necessity. Rather than being a selfish thing to do, this is an important consideration for the parents' overall well-being.
