Summary:

O'Neill and the SG-1 team travel through the gate to the planet Argos. When they arrive find a young woman giving birth. The quickly take action to help and after Daniel delivers the child, the team is invited to a festival. When they reach the main center of the civilization they find it populated by beautiful, happy people who celebrate from the first rise of the sun and mysteriously drop to sleep the minute that it sets. This however does not at first alarm sg-1, it is not until later the next day when they see the child they had delivered a day before standing before them now grown to the age of 8.

The people of this world all seem to age very rapidly - a lifetime is 100 days and view this as normal way of life. It did not become a concern for sg-1 until O'Neill unknowingly becomes effected when Kynthia, a stunning Argosian woman, seduces him.

O'Neill begins to experience the same type of fast aging and strange sleeping habits as the rest of the Argosian people. The rest of the team unaffected by the planet return to base to try to discover a cure for whatever is making O'Neill and the Argosians grow old so fast. Carter soon discovers the culprit: nanocytes or microscopic robots that circulate in the blood stream, apparently placed there as part of a cruel experiment by Pelops, a Goa'uld whom the Argosians worship as a god.

Now the rest of Sg-1 must come up with a way to counter act the effects of these microscopic machines in time to save O'Neill and free the rest of the Argosian people.

Review:

This was kind a slow building and boring episode focusing mainly on O'Neill and expanding the Sg-1 universe through mythology and alike. It was more used to set a reference of how the Goa'uld used some of the people taken from Earth all those millennium ago and what happen to them. This who later become a trademark of the show as they expand the universe and the different cultures in it.
