Summary:
Under pressure from the government to recover superior technologies, Teal'c puropses that they head to a planet where creature called the Fenri live and have the power of invisibilty. The mission is given a green light and O'Neill along with the rest of Sg-1 head to a planet. As soon as they arrive on the planet strange things begin to happen as they soon encounter the flying Fenri creature and then the gate vanishes.
As they beging to scout the planet for answers and the creature Sg-1 discover they are not alone on the planet .A Goa'uld hunting party, led by Apophis, is already there tracking the Fenri. O'Neill sees a prime opportunity to capture Apophis and attempts an ambush.
The ambush goes horribly wrong when Apophis uses a shield device to prtect himeslef from any kind of weaponds fire. This leaves Sg-1 off balance and results in the deaths of all but one of SG-1.
Sg-1 awake sometime later to find that they have been brought back to life by a starnge a fairy type people called the Nox. Not only are they revived but also a Jaffa named Shak'l, who was also killed in the battle with Sg-1 and Apophis. The Nox are a small, peaceful, fairy-like people who occupy the planet previously thought to be uninhabited. They can make things invisible - it is they who shield the A'kasha (a flying insect-like creature) from the sight of the hunters - and bring back the dead.
Sg-1 tries to enlist their help and try tp protect the Nox from Apophis and the other Jaffaa, but the Nox refuses. They are passive people who don't believe in viloence against any being or race. This is further compliled by the Jaffa Shak'l who kills one of the Nox, Lya in order to escape. Shak'l reveals their secret and location to Apophis and Sg-1 must try to find a way to defend not only themselves but the Nox from further attacks. O'Neill once again offers to defend the Nox against Apophis, but the peaceful little people have their own solution, far beyond the understanding of either Goa'ulds or the people of Earth.
