Hammond informs them that in the spirit of cooperation and information sharing that they will be working with a Russian team and head back to the planet. With the Russian team they will try and find what happened to the previous missing team and if any of them survived.
When the Russians arrive they all return back to the planet and try to re-open the tomb that the previous Russian team had managed to do. It takes a while but Daniel is finally able to open the door leading into the tomb. While inside the begin to search for any sign of the russian team or what may have happened to them.
During the search part of the tomb caves in sealing Sg-1 and the Russians inside with no apparent way out.
Now they try and continue with the search hoping to also find a way out and the other Russian team. While looking they come across a body of one of the previous Russian team. The body looks to be badly decomposed after only a couple of months, but on closer examination Carter notes that the body had teeth marks all over it indicated that he had been eaten. As they search on they come across and open area with what was a sealed Goa'uld sarcophagus in the center.
Daniel begins to decipher the writings on the walls which tells what happened and who was in the sarcophagus. It tells how the Goa'uld Marduk who at one time ruled the planet was turned on by his own people and priest. He was then sealed in his sarcophagus with an unknown creature where he was eaten alive and that while the human body was killed the Goa'uld managed to live on inside the creature and was released by the previous Russian team.
