Stargate Sg-1 News Update
Well new things are happening all the time in the Sg-1 universe and here is the place to find out who, what, when, and where it is all taking place. In this article I will run through all the latest that has been happing to the Sg-1 set and it's cast over the past couple of months. Please be aware that this article will contain spoilers for those who have not seen season five of the series.
Season Six On Scifi
Well it is official The Scifi Channel has announced that they have picked up the Showtime original series Stargate Sg-1. They will be production the sixth season of the show as well as re-airing previous episodes.
Some fans of the show are weary of the fact that Scifi has taken over production as some point to the fact that though Scifi has been know to rescue Showtime shows before,( The Other Limits & Poltergeist The Legacy, ) they have failed to keep the same ideas and themes alive in these shows.
Whatever the outcome maybe many fans are thankful to have a chance to see the show for another season and look forward to re-visiting the earlier episodes.
The show will be airing it's new season on The Scifi Channel in June of 2002 and will re-run previous episodes beginning with season one, starting in the fourth quarter of 2002.
Stargate Get Emmy Nod
The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences have nominated Stargate for outstanding visual effects. The episodes "Small Victories" & Exodus" have both gotten a nomination and will be going up against episodes from both Voyager and Dark Angel.

Stargate Sg-1 Official Club
The long awaited fan club for Sg-1 has now been brought to reality by Light Speed Fine Art. Fans have waited a long time admits "coming soon" signs on the MGM site and rumors in the X-files Magazine a deal has finally been reached and the contract given to Light Speed.
Light Speed Fine Art, best known for selling pieces of stunning artwork, is a regular at many sci-fi conventions, including Gatecon in Vancouver and Wolf Events' Voyager Con in London. According to their web site, they promise to include a "Stargate Emporium," featuring SG-1 collectibles and memorabilia.
