Episode Summary / Review - 5.04 The Fifth Man (part 2)As night falls on the planet O'Neill and Tyler begin to talk about where they are from trying to take their minds off the situation. They also begin to make plans about what they are going to do as O'Neill tries to reassure Tyler that everything is going to be fine. As day breaks on the planet O'Neill and Tyler are awaken by a Goa'uld Death Glider flies over head. O'Neill manages to take out the glider with a grenade launcher; he then begins to plant c4 and grenades along the ridge leading to the building where they are hiding out. I can not let you do this Colonel. - Tyler Hammond and Col. Simmons go to the infirmary where Dr. Fraiser inform them that she has discovered what has been happening to Sg-1. The chemical she found on Teal'c jacket is a neural chemical implants that someone one the planet used to convince sg-1 that they were something other than what they are. She also tells them that the chemical needs close proximity for it to work and that Sg-1 can go back to the planet without fear of further exposure. O'Neill spots the Jaffa approaching and as he get ready to fight them off Tyler tells O'Neill that he is not who he thinks he is. That he is not a member of Sg-1 or in fact human, he is a member of a race called the Re'ol and that he used a chemical to implant false memories. O'Neill does not believe him and Tyler tries to convince him by show how his injured leg is healed and by revealing his true form to O'Neill.
The Jaffa begin to close in fast on there location, O'Neill manages to hold some of them off by blowing the c4 and grenades that he had planted earlier but it is not enough. O'Neill and Tyler are soon over run and find themselves captured by the Jaffa. Just when it looks like one of the Jaffa is going to fire on O'Neill the Jaffa is struck down by a staff blast in that back and the others are taken out by bullets, as the rest of Sg-1 arrive on the scene.
