Stargate Sg-1 Guide : Planets

This will give you an overview of some of the more important and repeat planets that Sg-1 and other S.G.C teams have visited.

Abydos –
This is the first planet that was visited by anyone from Earth and where Dr. Daniel Jackson lived and married one of the local inhabitants. It is also where Dr. Jackson for the Cartouche room that lead to the reactivation of the gate on Earth, thus laying the foundation for the formation of the S.G.C.

Cimmeria –
The first planet that was discovered to be an Asgard protected planet with a device called Thor’s Hammer This device was used by the Asgard to protect the people of Cimmeria and also free a person imprisoned by a Goa’uld.

It was also here that SG-1 made their first contact with the real Thor and Cap. Crater learned of her ability to use Goa’uld technology.

Othala –
One of the home worlds of the Asgard race, advanced “Roswell” type alien societies that are protectors of many worlds and people. They are also the ones that removed the knowledge of the ancients from Col. O’Neill’s brain when he accidentally got it downloaded in his brain.

Tollana –
The home planet of the highly advance human race called the Tollan. Sg-1 encounters them on one of their outpost worlds that was destroyed by masses volcanic activity.
The planet is shielded from any outside attack by masses energy canons and generally do not share or associate with any other race that is not as equal to their technology.

Nox-
Home to the fairy type race of beings known as the Nox. The Nox and their world are highly advanced yet live in harmony with nature and are extremely passive. They helped heal SG-1 and one of Apophis’ Jaffa who had been mortality wounded.
They have a vast city that floats above the surface of the planet that has the ability to become visible, thus serving to protect the planet and it’s people.

Chulak –
The home world to the Jaffa of the Goa’uld and system lord Apophis. This is the planet that Sha’re and Skaara were taken to when they were abducted from Abydos and also where Sha’re was implanted with the Goa’uld Amonet. This is also where Sg-1 first met Teal’c and where he helped them escape.

The planet is a heavily fortified planet where it’s gate is well protected, with many temple priest and Goa’uld larval incubators for Jaffa implantation.
