SG-1 is sent to investigate the planet and as soon as they step through the gate are bombarded by native being throwing rocks at them. They manage to scare off the life form by firing their guns in air. SG-1 follows some of them to their camp area to where they see a young girl among what looks like a group of Neanderthal man. Fearing that the primitives would try and rape the young girl sg-1 decide to go in and help, but before they can a group of people clothed all in white sling rocks at the primitives scaring them off. The people in white thinking that SG-1 are their gods come back through the Stargate they bow down to them.
We are honored that the Gods have seen fit for a return visit – Leedora The people in white take sg-1 back to their village, which is on the light side of the planet. They soon find out that the people on the dark side of the planet are called “the Touched” and those living on the light side are “The Untouched”. SG-1 was told that many years ago the hilksha came to their world and placed a curse on some of their people. The touched were once like the untouched but because they were cursed they turned into wild beast that they could not control so they were banished to the dark side of the planet. O’Neill decides that while the people and the planet are interesting that it does not provided and strategic or military value and orders his team to leave.
While back at the S.G.C in a mission de-briefing Dr. Jackson gets insistent about the SG teams exploring the culture aspects of missions and not only the military side. Gen. Hammond and the president agree with Dr. Jackson and Cap. Carter on the subject, and each mission will now have a cultural and military assessment. With the argument settled and the de-briefing continues one of the members of SG-3 loses control of himself and attacks Teal’c. The man is quickly taken into custody and immediately taken to the infirmary.
