Goa’uld :
The main foe that fills the core of sg-1 most of the time. They are race or parasitical life forms needing a host in order to survive. They take humans host by force thus trapping the human within their own body unable to control anything that they do. They rule a vast regions of space populated my human slaves that were brought back from Earth a millennium ago. They are a futile race with trust and alliances between the races being few and far between. They crave pure power and domination over any of those who they see as a threat or easy to concur. They rule over people through fear and false religion by convince the people that they are there Gods and thus take on their names.
Tok’ra :
Though they are a type of Goa’uld they do not share or live as a regular Goa’uld do. The oppose the Goa’uld system lords and their ways . They live as one with their hosts and do not believe in taking hosts by force , but only with those who choose to live that way. They fight to overthrow the ruling class of Goa’uld and try to free those enslaved by them.
Tollan :
They are an advanced society of humans that have reached a level of technology that they can effectively defend themselves from the Goa’uld. Most about the Tollan is a mystery and have strict policies about sharing their technology to those who are not as advanced. The are a peaceful people who have helped sg-1 and the sgc several times.
The Nox :
A fairy type race of people that live in harmony with nature and are to a mystery. Although technologically superior to the S.G.C and the Goa’uld the do not use this technology to defend themselves or to fight. They are a passive a extremely peaceful race that do not believe in violence of any kind even against the Goa’uld. They have the ability to heal themselves even from a fatal injury and are allies to the Tollan and the Asgard.
Asgard :
Straight out of Roswell do we get the Asgard. They look very much like the alien grays mentioned in Earth history for many years. They are a highly advanced and extremely old race that has visited Earth on many occasions. They are allies with the S.G.C and have used their advanced technology and power to protect as many planets as they can. Planets where people are free to live without fear of the Goa’uld.
