Summary :
After coming back from the rescued mission on the planet Maj. Kawalsky of sg-2 begins having having severe headaches. This leads Maj. Kawalsky to go to the infirmary to find out what is behind it. While in the infirmary an unusual movement under Kawalsky near his neck/spine alarms the doctor. Before the doctor can say anything Maj. Kawalsky eyes begin to glow and he snaps the doctors neck killing him.
As Kawalsky heads from the infirmary, Col. O’Neill is summoned to Gen. Hammond’s office. His is informed that his request to make Teal’c a member of his unit Sg-1 was denied, and that he will be questioned by Col. Kennedy from the pentagon. He will then be taken for more questions and tests as he is a carrier of the infant form of their enemy.
Meanwhile Cap. Carter and Dr. Jackson are giving a briefing on the function on the D.H.D (Dial Home Device) which actives the Stargate, they noticed Maj. Kawalsky in the gateroom. He is standing on the ramp leading into the gate in an almost worshipping pose , arms out stretched. Col. O’Neill and Gen. Hammond are called and rush into the gateroom to find out what is going on. Col. O’Neill calls to Kawalsky who turns around toward Col. O’Neill in a state of confusion not knowing how or why his is there.
Col. O’Neill immediately takes Kawalsky to the infirmary for an M.R.I hoping that it will help explain his blackouts. While his is in the machine DR. Warner notices and object wrapped around his spinal cord. Knowing that it a Goa’uld that has invaded Maj. Kawalsky’s body he knows he must alert Gen. Hammond, but before he can Kawalsky knocks him to the ground and leaves.
Meanwhile Col. Kennedy begins to his session with Teal’c asking him various questions about Goa’uld technology and weaponry. Col. O’Neill barges in on the meeting to make sure that Teal’c is being treated fairly. During the course of the questioning is found out that the Goa’uld system lords rule over many worlds and have left many more planets where they once ruled abandoned and the people to fight for survival. It is also discovered that the slaves that Goa’uld use come from a primitive world called the Tau’ri the place where being of this type were first formed. It is there Teal’c and the other find out that Earth is this planet of legend and that they universe is populated by the ancient people of Earth.
