Rogue Planet Book ReviewIt's true. There is plenty of time for Anakin and Obi-Wan to not only have long conversations with each other, but for them to get lost in thought, which the readers can follow. There is also time given to the development of a villain who plays a role in one of the later movies (along the time line), as well as hinting at a certain destructive weapon's origin. Bear obviously did his homework, planting seeds of events to take place in the last three movies while at the same time laying the ground work for what is to take place in the next two. For those, like me, who rarely read the books, I highly recommend "Rogue Planet." I believe it will be essential reading before seeing Episode 2. Even if they don't mention this particular adventure in the later movies, it's invaluable in tracing the beginnings of Anakin's descent into the dark side. Besides, who can wait two more years for a Star Wars fix? Frankly, I'm hoping they release another book or two before then.
