are still there for them. They provide a sense of stability in a time of crisis, allowing young children to see there are others around who would still love them even after the death of a parent. This is why Padme still has to accept Anakin, and caresses and soothes him as a mother would after he breaks down in the garage. To heighten the sense of this, she even brings him the famous Lars blue milk, a substance clearly associated with motherly nourishment. Yet when the young Jedi will undoubtably find himself in a situation where he must give up Padme as well. this is when the real tragedy of the Star Wars saga will erupt. "Amazing Grace" coming next month.
