"We're losing good horses and good people every day of the week to other racing jurisdictions, and it has to stop or in a few years there won't be any racing in Illinois," Jesk added. "What myself, the Ledfords and our team have tried to do is to put together a very good group of horses and people so that we can succeed in business right here in Illinois. We've got all of the good tools, and I think we've set ourselves up to have a very decent year. But in the end, all the horsemen are going to have to get some help from the state if there's going to be any kind of solid future for racing."
