Living In the MomentThere is a common held belief in the public that all enlightened beings live a very tranquil life. That is not true! We are all here to balance out our Karma from previous lifetimes. If you would like to read more information about the subject Karma please refer to my previous article entitled, “Karma – A Lesson in Learning”. Before we incarnate into our current life we examine the learning possibilities that it has to offer, for example the relationships, struggles, and joys that it has to offer us. These situations will help us balance out all the Karma from our previous life times. However, as we develop and grow in our spiritual understanding we may begin to realize that we are above the common things in life because we are magical beings like a modern day Merlin. Thus we can create our lives to suit us any way that we see fit. Based on that above statement we could create a life free from heartache, emotional pain and physical ailments. However we are not able to that. Part of living in this life is to experience all the positive and negative emotions that life has to offer. This spiritual growth does not transform us into wizards. We are not living on another plane of existence. All of us still deal with the here and now as we live on this earthly plane of existence. We live in the moment. As we become more enlightened these abilities will aid us in dealing with situations that we encounter in our lives. It can alter our perspective on how to handle the dilemmas that we face each day. You may find yourself handling the outcomes a little different too. You may accept the decision with a little more understanding because you were able to see past the situation and how it would benefit others or yourself. Remember we have free choice although you may sense or see the outcome because of your insights you have the choice to heed it or not. Besides I don’t want to be exempt from life. I want to live in the moment. If we were exempt from the pains in life then you need to ask yourself why are we here. These situations help us to grow. That is why we experience them. Remember that DILEMMAS CREATE GROWTH! As Robert H. Schuller, an author said it best in the title of his book “Tough Times Never Last, But Tough People Do!”
