What's NOT True, in GhosthuntingLikewise, ghosts generally don't appear "old," because they don't think of themselves as old. They usually appear as they did in their prime, even if they died in old age. I don't believe in ghostly hitchhikers. In fact, most "urban legend" ghosts are based on short stories from past centuries. There are no credible tales of someone picking up a hitchhiker who then vanished. I do not believe that the Banshee (bean sidhe) causes death. She protects the family and wails when she can't stop something tragic from happening. It's not always death, and it doesn't always happen anyway--maybe someone else prevents it from happening. She sees tragedy that she can't stop, period. No Banshee causes someone to die, and not all keening by a Banshee predicts death. I do not believe that anyone can prove anything about ghosts... yet. We're still looking for evidence that we can replicate under scientific conditions. Until then, be very cautious about anyone who's trying to convince you that orbs in photos are ghosts, or that an unexplained mist is ectoplasm. The orbs are real. So are the odd mists. We just don't know what they are... yet. For more information about ghosts and hauntings, visit http://www.ghostsinternational.com
