The Prado Museum

The Italian Paintings in the museum are the envy of many museums. Botticelli’s dramatic wooden panels are amongst the best, and Raphael’s contributions are definitely worth admiring.

The French Paintings are a marriage between French and Spanish royalty in the 17th century. Here you will find works by such greats as Poussin and Claude Lorrain.

The Prado Museum is usually open from Tuesday to Saturday between the hours of 9am to 7pm, and from 9am to 2pm on Sundays and public holidays. The entrance ticket also gives you admission to Cason del Buen Retiro.
