Paria Canyon 411Paria Canyon Vermillion Cliffs National Monument is a wilderness area with no services. Help is hours away - and you may be responsible for your own rescue costs. Do not count on cellular phone service! Let someone know where you're going and when you intend to be back, and remember to keep a lookout for escape routes up the canyon as you hike.

Good Eats Paria Outpost, Paria Canyon Trailhead: $12.50, all you can eat bonanza, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Downhome western BBQ: chicken, ribs, brisket, baked beans, gourmet pizza, fruit and salad bar, home-made potato salad, watermelon, brownies, huge sheet cakes and monster cinnamon rolls. No bar (BYOB). Live music and open mike all night, open-air patio (see above for contact details). The Dam Bar and Grille, in the Dam Plaza. 'Dam' themed grill-house with dancing on weekends.
