Southern Rockers Respond to The September 11th Terrorist Attacks

So many of us as Americans have grown complacent. I, for one, had grown to accept my freedom and ability to come and go as I please, to take an airplane across country with no real fear of safety. To go to work in an office with confidence that I would return home that evening to my family. Sadly, there are many thousands in New York and Washington who felt the same way, but have now been taken from their families by a faceless, evil force. I will never again forget just how fortunate I am to be an American. In other countries, attacks like this happen on a regular basis. We see it on TV and think, "how sad," but it's like another world we're looking at. Now, it has happened to us. It is a wake up call for all Americans to ban together, and stand behind the President as he seeks out these killers and deals with them. This is a sad day for all America and our allies. But in the wake of this tragedy, I have seen Americans ban together like I have not witnessed in my lifetime. So many heroes in New York, helping without regard to personal safety. Pulling together and doing what had to be done. So many others, voicing their heartfelt sympathies, and vowing to stand behind the President. From the bottom of my heart, I sing, "God bless America, my home sweet home."

What follows are some thoughts from a few of our Southern Rock and other good friends, expressing their feelings on the tragedy.

I know you've heard all the rhetoric and news reporting about the deplorable situation which took place in New York and Washington today. This is not politics, this is not a repressed people trying to get the attention of an uncaring world. This is none of the things which are usually associated with the righting of wrongs. This is simple hate, pure insanity and mass murder not seen on the planet since the days of Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot. We all know who did this. It may take a few days to place the blame on the proper group but we all know that this is straight out of the Middle East. And I want to inform the scum who perpetrated this piece of unspeakable horror that I don't know what you were trying to accomplish, but I know what you did accomplish.
