For Pakistan, Saqlain Mushtaq, deservedly declared the man of the series, took five wickets in each of the four Indian innings which must be a national, if not world, record. Skipper Wasim Akram went past Imran Khan as the country's highest wicket-taker with 363 scalps. He will certainly get some more before he calls it a day, provided he remains fit for a few more seasons. All in all, then, it was a most enjoyable resumption of Test cricket between the two countries and we hope that India will pay a return visit to Pakistan as soon as they find it possible to do so.
