Crystal Spring Cleaning© Cheryl D. Tracy
Okay, so you're up to your ears in snow, icicles, wind, and mud. You're beginning to thaw out, which means everyone who enters your house is tracking so much mud and other goodies that the broom has become a permanent attachment to your arm. You've rearranged the furniture in your living room three times since November and the only thing left to do is knock out a wall so you can tease more light into the room. I don't know about you, but I've just about had it with winter and am ready to move South for February and March. There is only so much house cleaning you can do to keep yourself from going stir crazy. And, as I sat around trying to figure out what else I could do to keep myself from cussing at the wind and seemingly endless onslaught of snow this year I remembered my collection of crystals.
Crystals are magical in the winter. Put one on a windowsill and, when the sun hits it, a rainbow will take up residence on one of your walls. There's nothing like a little rainbow light to cheer a room up and make you forget the winter blues. And there's nothing like remembering you have a stash of crystals and gemstones that need to be cleaned to help you get off your duff and start changing the energies in your entire house. Different crystals have different vibrations. It isn't complicated, just think colors. The lighter the color, the higher, and lighter the vibration. The darker the color, the heavier and darker the vibration. High vibrations are fast, energizing. If you're depressed pick a light color stone. Lower vibrations are more solid and grounding, so if you're scattered and unable to settle down, choose a darker colored stone. You can make crystal work as simple or as complicated as you need it to be. I have one rule: KISS. (keep it simple stupid)
