Chakra Journeys© Cheryl D. Tracy The throat chakra is next. It governs lungs, vocal chords, bronchial apparatus and metabolism. It is the center for expression, communication, and judgment and is often associated with hearing, tasting, and smelling. If you turn your mind to matters of giving and receiving, or speaking personal truth, you are accessing this center. Its color is blue. East Indian's call it Visuddha, or Pure. Element is Akasha. Its attribute is ego or I-ness. Its desire is solitude. And its activity is thoughts and ideas. Control issues are stored here, honesty, open expression, and any fears that you have about being able to receive Divine Guidance. The next time you try to ask the Powers that Be a question ask while your attention is here and see what happens.
The last chakra is the Crown and it externalizes as the pineal gland. Like the root chakra it sits flat so that it's top is facing skyward. It governs the upper brain and right eye. Here is one's direct connection to the Source. Here is Oneness and integration and spiritually evolving. Associated with direct knowing. Related to the integration of personality with spirituality. Its color is violet, but sometimes can be crystalline white. The East Indian's call it Sahasrara, or Thousand Petalled. It is here that one reaches the understanding of a Greater Reality than the physical senses perceive. When you're first learning to journey, or work with dreams, channel, or meditate, this is the place to open up first. If you've ever chosen one spiritual path, this is where you did it. If you're waiting for a miracle or the voice of god to fall out of heaven, this is the part of you that holds that believe and expectation.
