How Different Systems Help You Tap Into Healing Energies Universal energy flows through every living system in the universe: every person, every plant, every creature. We share this energy freely, forming a web that connects all life. Using various healing systems such as Reiki, Seichim and Ki Manna, healers help you bring the energy of your own living system, your body, back into a state of balance and health. Some of these systems require attunements, which open the healer up, allowing her to channel the appropriate energy for a client. I have been attuned to several different systems, including:
The following is a brief summary of three healing systems I use in my practice. I will look at other systems in future articles. Please be aware that the descriptions are based on my own understanding and experience; others may view these healing systems differently. What is Reiki? Reiki works with pure energy, with no dogma to limit it. Therefore, it is not based on any religious or philosophical belief system, nor does it work counter to any belief system. In other words, no matter what you believe, Reiki will not conflict with those beliefs. Reiki taps into the healing energy of the universe, energy that is freely available to all of us. It flows through every living body: every person, every plant, every creature. Sometimes, due to stress, injury, or long-term problems, this flow of energy is blocked. The Reiki practitioner lays hands upon an individual, channeling this energy so that it may be used by that individual. As a client, your role is to accept the energy. Your body will know where to send it for the greatest good. All people can benefit from Reiki, even those who are not physically ill. Because it helps to improve the flow of energy within the body, it keeps even healthy bodies operating at their fullest capacity. For those who are ill, even with serious conditions, Reiki can bring about a reduction in pain and discomfort. It has also been shown to help injuries heal more quickly, reduce the size of tumors, and sometimes eliminate the need for surgery. When used along with traditional methods such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, Reiki can make the process more comfortable, and can often speed healing and decrease side effects. In order to practice Reiki and tap into this source of healing, one must first be attuned by a Reiki master. Much information is available online, including Unlimited Reiki, so I will not repeat all of this information on the system and methods of attunement. There are many other healing systems that use the name Reiki, but the two most common systems are the traditional Usui Reiki and Tibetan Reiki. Go To Page: 1 2
