Recovering Your Life Stories


your eyes, breathe deeply, and remember what it felt like to be five years old.

You may use this meditation any time you wish to recover childhood memories, or even adult memories that are faded and fuzzy. Do not be concerned about the facts or the memories other people might have of the same event. What is important here is your memory.

Feel free to go back in and fill in details, even if you didn't remember them during the meditation. Rely on your child-self to help you with the memories, and don't worry about what other people remember. Paint a complete picture, using all your senses. If you don't remember something, make it up. Who knows? What you think is imagination or fabrication may just be your child-self supplying the details.
