Building a Circle of Energy

Energy workers doing Reiki or other forms of bodywork, as well as pagans and others interested in spiritual issues, may find themselves drawn to working with a group. A group can wield a tremendous amount of energy once they know how to focus and channel it.

A couple weeks ago, I had the chance to experience this firsthand at a Mind-Body-Spirit fair I helped organize. We had twenty exhibitors, including energy workers, massage therapists, psychics and mediums. To top it off, we had live background music provided by , playing Shakuhachi flute and crystal bowls.

The energy level in the room was tremendous, and it just kept rising all day. In fact, I had to leave the room a few times to regain my balance, and we had to keep the doors open so all that energy had somewhere to go. Everyone there, practitioners and visitors alike, agreed that the total effect of having such a large group working together was amazing.

We capped off the day with a medicine wheel ceremony, coordinated with a huge global medicine wheel project. This was a good way for us to work together as a group, all our efforts going toward world peace and Earth-healing.

The fair was sponsored by the Circle of Sisters, a group of women in the Pittsburgh, PA. We've been meeting at least monthly and sometimes weekly for the past couple of years, working on spiritual and life issues. Most of the time, what we do wouldn't be considered work, but we have built a solid, working group. Within the group, we have a hypnotherapist, a psychotherapist, three Reiki masters, a massage therapist, and a medium. Some of us wear more than one hat, and we are all intuitive and spiritual.

We came together over a period of several years, and gradually realized that we all shared a sense of recognition and connection. Through my work in Past Life Regression, I found the common key: We've all been together in previous lifetimes, sometimes as sisters, and always working together. These sisters showed up in my own personal regressions, then in others -- all without any prompting from me.

Please note that while it's easy to lead someone in hypnosis or meditation, I work hard not to do that so that I don't contaminate any information that comes through.

After we realized that we were all connected, we did a number of things to build a Circle of Sisters. We have done a couple of group regressions, in which I recorded a meditation keyed to a specific time period. Interestingly, we all came up with similar descriptions and experiences, but all from different perspectives. I do not, however, offer this as proof that Past Life Regression is an infallible means of discovering past-life connections.
