But is anyone else bothered that the catchy, but suggestive hook appeals to kids, who have no idea what they're singing? Maybe its just me, but the hook, "I am getting so hot I want to take my clothes off" accompanied with the video of women sensously stripping down is a little over the top for tiny ears.
* In an effort to show they are still an incubator for the best in soul music, Motown recently signed Dave Hollister. This is a good combination, because Hollister has a special blend of soul that only an old school master like Motown could truly nurture. In case you're not in the know, his new jam, "Keep On Lovin You" off of Steve Harvey's "Sign of Things To Come," signals his arrival on the scene.
* Have you seen the video or heard Beyonce's track off the new Austin Power's "GoldMember" movie? I'll just say this, Thank you Beyonce, for reinforcing why I've ranted against the success of Destiny's Child.
* On the other hand, Beyonce's lil' sis, Solange sounds pretty good singing the theme for Tommy Davidson's Disney cartoon, The Proud Family. Her voice quality is very similiar to Beyonce and she does follow a bit with the trademark talk-singing of her older sister - but she's not as annoying!
* By now you've heard Michael Jackson's rage against the Sony machine. I admit, I'm a little surprised at this turn of events. MJ has been with Epic/Sony for so long that it was a love affair I thought would last "forever." But alas, it's not meant to be. The net-net of the deal - Sony gets the publishing rights to all of MJ's mega-hits (Thriller, Off The Wall, Bad) and half of his Beatles catalogue. MJ gets...some really nice memories. Ooh...that's gotta hurt!
* The 112/P-Diddy saga continues. A few months ago it was reported the group had broken off from Bad Boy - but then the Diddy was on BET a few weeks ago saying that wasn't true. Well Puffy, apparently it is because 112 is once again saying they are no longer with Bad Boy, and now its moved to the courts.
