Where In The World is Whitney?

years of drugging and drinking his voice is crap. The work of a voice coach might bring him back some - but he'll never come close to success again.

The question, how could Whitney watch him ruin his vocal talent and allow herself to go down that same road?

I didn't seriously consider that rumors of Whitney's hard drug use had a kernel of truth until I saw Houston perform a few times looking high, sometimes dazed and often scattered. She seemed to rattle on with no direction and even faltered once or twice.

I assumed that, much like Mariah Carey who let her hair and a few items of clothing down once she left her Sony-boss husband, Whitney was just finally letting go a little. After all - she had worked hard for her success and earned the right to tell her management and spin doctors to let her be.

If Whitney chose to make adult choices in private - that was her business. But now, it seems those personal choices are impacting her professional life and its sad to watch her career fall flat after such wide success.

Whitney needs a comeback. And if she's truly caught up in drug abuse - she needs more than a musical comeback. But her absence from the scene is a loss to the music community since her appeal spanned the genres - touching Pop, R&B and Gospel.

Image is nothing, talent is everything and her powerful voice would be missed.
