Swept Away

Whatever the reason for the press being shut out of the process, it stinks. It stinks for many reasons, number one being that it looks like the Academy is hiding something. Why not be open and honest about the voting process? Help us understand this incredibly complicated attempt to reward a year's worth of work with only a handful of episodes. Now I'm not one to leap to the conclusion that this means the show will now brim with quality. But the potential with Wheeler at the helm, honestly trying to reinvigorate this soap with quality and history is a lot greater now that Weston's poisonous pen is out. Weston's exit, however surprising, wouldn't really be considered a shock so much as a necessity to GL's survival. Lesli Kay's exit from ATWT to take on the role of Lois over on General Hospital on the other hand would
