Small Town State of Mind

buy that for awhile, but Brooke constantly bedding relatives, business partners, or friends of Ridge's in a Los Angeles is just plain stupid! And while Jabot and Newman fighting amongst themselves in a small town makes the most sense, Sally constantly warring with the Forresters and only them seems like trying to put out a garden fire while a forest fire rages behind you. B&B now especially seems to be spinning their wheels with the same stories. They are in desperate need of fresh ideas, new faces, and a broader canvas (instead new families are virtually replacing the Forresters); constantly creating stories that act like they are in a town of two hundred really cripples the show.

Each individual soap need to one, make up their mind about what makes their show unique and two stick with it. For some soaps, they may have strayed too far from the original purpose of the show to ever go back, but trust me, changing a soap's theme every few years to try to raise sagging ratings with a new trend, only causes a bigger slide.
