California Welcome Centers
Sometimes, welcome centers have listings of local events, that are not found on the internet or local papers. And sometimes, they have special discounts that you can only get by visiting a particular welcome center.
I don't remember the name of the one we always stop off at in San Diego, but the center always has discounts on Circle K hotel as well as a buy one ticket to Sea World, get the second one free. So, don't be afraid to ask!
