Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theater

Ever want to go out to a nice dinner and have some fun? Ever wonder why fancy places tend to take up all your money, leaving no room for another form of entertainment afterwards?

With Candlelight Pavilion, you truly can have the best of both worlds. And, if you can brave it, you can bring along the kids!

I took my kids to see the production of Grease and the Phantom of the Opera. We sat at a corner booth, so the kids could sit on their knees when they got a bit fidgety.

It was actually the only time (or should I say times) that I could get my then, five year old daughter into a dress. Or get my son into dress pants and dress shoes.

When we arrived, the kids were a bit apprehensive of the whole thing, but soon began to really enjoy themselves. We each received a brochure telling us about the cast members, and where they have performed before. It also had the menu, in the middle of the pamphlet.

There was a children's menu, which consisted of chicken fingers, but for the small price to up to the adult menu, we opted to have the children try something different and eat a more balanced meal. Such as tri tip, roasted chicken breast, or a veggie platter.

And for $4.50, one could also get a souvenir glass of the evening.

During intermission, we ordered desert and let me tell you... One hundred percent FABULOUS! We ordered the Chocolate Strawberry Euphoria which was almond brownies, fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream, topped with chocolate mousse and coverture.

And let me not forget that you get serenaded during dinner by Michael Ryan.

The Candlelight Dinner is located at 455 W. Foothill Blvd. Claremont, CA 91711 909062601254 www.candlelightpavilion.com

Oh, and did I mention that they have Children's Theatre in the summer?
