The Dabbling Mum

This article is going to be a little different because I want to invite all you mommies (and dads) to check out two sites that I have designed for children.

http://overflowconnection.homestead.com/... is a site for children who want to become professional writers. There are links to kid-friendly writing sites, as well as links to adult or teen-related sites.

I started this site because my nine year old son, saw me typing away and asked how he could make some money, too. I was nervous about letting him hit the net alone, so I found the sites, placed them on a webpage and told him to have some fun. He entered a writing contest with Kudlicka Publishing and was accepted. Now, he anxiously awaits the arrival of his story, in print, and the $4 promised him.

http://overflowconnection.homestead.com/... is a site for children to hang out and explore a small, yet safe part of the net. There are links to other sites that offer games, craft ideas, and reading materials. All your child has to do is hit the back button to return to the site. Sites such as Snoopy, Wuz Up God, Aunt Annies Crafts, Nintendo, and more.

And, lastly, for those moms out there that want to turn their dabbles into a homebased business, while teaching their kids a few important lessons about following dreams, there's a new site opening up called, The Dabbling Mum.

Know how your kids are always hitting you up for money? Or asking how they can make a few extra bucks? This site is about showing you how to make those few extra bucks, and if you're smart (smile) you'll put the kids to work with you. After all, what does the author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad say?

Children learn more by doing than by being told what to do. Of course those aren't his exact words, but you get the picture.
