Birthday Party Ideas

As the school year begins to approach, birthday invitations are bound to appear. Which got me to thinking about the fact that many parents actually dread the idea of throwing a child’s birthday party.

I’ve actually come to enjoy planning them. But, that has come with the realization that I could choose when to end the party by putting an "end time" on the invitation. And, the fact that two hours is plenty of time for most party scenarios.

When I am feeling particularly lazy, all I have to do is invite everyone over between the hours of six and seven p.m., get together some junk food, put up some tents in the back yard and have a camp out. Then, I ask that the parents pick the kids up by 9 am the next morning, after serving them donuts for breakfast. The kids have enjoyed this so much, that we have made it an annual summer event.

So what kind of parties can we plan in Southern California? I won’t be quoting any prices here as they vary between type of party planned, size of party, and so forth.
