Converting to Pellets: My Method

The second day I noticed a few crunched bits. Again, I heaped on the good food, and after a few days of this I noticed that they were actually cleaning up the pellets. At this time, I completely cut out their seed and began what is now their diet of pellets and healthy food. Whenever converting birds to a pelleted diet it is important not to have the bird go hungry. I know a lot of bird owners who put the pellets in and say, "they'll eat when they're hungry." This is not the case and is horrible parrot management. Converting to pellets is not a punishment and shouldn't be treated as such. Next week, we'll discuss another method of converting to pellets.
