they're legal where you live. The normal Quaker has a gray face and chest with a green back and a long, green tail. There is a blue mutation that is also available, and it is more
expensive than the normal green.
Quakers are active birds with quite the outgoing personality. My little Quaker, Sally, challenges the bigger pionus for space on the playgym and enjoys spending the day on my shoulder. They need the largest cage you can afford, a cockatiel cage simply isn't large enough. A good diet high in fresh fruits and vegetables is a must, for these little birds need all the energy they can muster. Quakers cost from $75-$400 depending on location, whether they were handfed, and if they are a mutation. Although I would hate to see anyone leave the wonderful world of small hookbills, some of these larger birds can compliment a multi-bird household and provide hours of fun. Go To Page: 1 2
