Help! My bird laid an egg!

A bird owner may wish to increase the amount of toys, or rotate the toys so that the bird doesn't become bored. The bird owner may wish to increase interaction with the bird as well. The level of lighting, as well as the placement and location of the cage may be changed. If these few things do not stop the egg-laying, then I would seek the assistance of an experienced breeder or avian vet. Some birds are chronic egg-layers; birds who lay egg after egg, no matter what happens. These birds need medical help, and this article is in no way meant to substitute for that help. In addition, feed any egg-laying bird extra calcium in the form of cuttle bone, or crushed hard-boiled eggs. And finally, if you desire, an egg-laying bird can also be placed in a breeding situation; although, this would not be my first course of action.
