Business ToolsAlthough each business is different, there are many business functions which either are the same for all businesses or which can be handled the same way. In many cases, rather than start from scratch and re-invent the wheel, it's an advantage to use existing procedures and, in some cases, it is legally required that certain procedures be followed. The Business Owner's Toolkit site has a large number of pre-formated forms available for downloading. Forms cover marketing, employment, management, quality control and many other aspects of running a business. The forms are in common formats which can be read by most word-processors or spreadsheet programs and they download in seconds. While I already had forms and procedures for the functions which I needed, I still found it interesting to examine these forms and got some good ideas from them. If you're starting out, this site could be really valuable because you can go through everything to ensure that nothing has been forgotten and you start with professional-looking material which you can then customize to your needs as you go.
