Let There Be Light, Lots And Lots of Light![]() We live by the firm belief that if we can play, we should, and if there's enough daylight, we will. Playing is very important in Winter because we need to break up the doldrums and sedentary routines we tend to develop with only four or five hours of daylight. We'll play a little longer until it's time to play less often - in summer when we work a lot more.
January means more than just the start of a new year and longer daylight, it also means that Spring is only weeks away. We need Spring. Soft, simple greens and warm colors on an Earth that won't freeze booted feet. A breeze that won't cut through our bones feels as cleansing as it is fresh, and Spring is when that happens. January gives us hope in the knowledge that we passed the point of no return, we're on the down side of another struggle. The days get longer at such small intervals that we don't notice until suddenly it hits us - the kids came home from school and it's still daylight and it feels like a gift. People get happier, produce more, and without knowing why or how, the pace of everything picks up with abundant energy. It's as if we come back to life, or wake up like the bears.
January means better, easier days aren't very far away, now. Just a little longer, we must be patient. Until then... Let there be Light, and Good Journeys!
